Letter to the Editor – Frank W. Gadbois
Dear Editor,
Gov. Kemp’s plan to add a work requirement to expand Medicaid is basically unworkable and will cause him to fail to get re-elected. No way will it provide better service to our uninsured and our poorest citizens who number 700,000 or so.
His plan will not help increase membership in Medicaid or just be more beneficial to our uninsured. It would cause some of our neediest Medicaid patients to lose their healthcare. His plan resembles slavery in too many ways! Just think about!
Who would benefit the most from his unfair plan except the private sector and business folks. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is a totally bad idea and it will hurt our uninsured the most.
His plan has not provided basic answers to their not providing basic facts if you are separated from health-care.gov. ACA searching for better healthcare will be more difficult under Kemp’s inferior health plan.
