The Harris County Tigers had to travel to Manchester twice to play the team’s season opener, but the travel was worth it as the team rolled to a 28-0 victory and begin the season at 1-0.
The kickoff game of the season was scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21, but a weather delay eventually forced the game to be rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. When the Tigers returned to the field on Saturday, it was all Tigers.

LOOKING AHEAD
This Friday night the Tigers will travel to Valdosta to take on the Lowndes County High Vikings. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
The Vikings are also boasting a 1-0 record after defeating Jenkins in the team’s season opener by a score of 31-6.
The Vikings will rely on senior quarterback Mason Woods if the team’s running game is not going well. The Vikings rely heavily on the running game and the leader is junior running back Trey Robertson.
Woods was 1-for-1 passing in the game against Jenkins with a 26-yard completion and Robertson rushed for 98-yards on 14 carries against Jenkins and was 4-of-6 for 16-yards passing.
The Vikings will rely on leading tacklers Marcus Vaughn, Malik Martin, Izzy Harrison and Ronnie Mitchell on the defensive side of the football.
This should prove to be a good contest for the Tigers.

The Manchester High Blue Devils were to kickoff the season on Friday, Aug. 21 but Mother Nature had another idea and the game was rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 22 due to the extreme weather.
