Letter to the Editor – Frank W. Gadbois

Dear Editor,

At long last, our new president has “rejected state work requirements for our own Medicaid recipients. This had been a big part of Donald Trump’s own health policy. He also hated testing as it increased the numbers that made him look bad! His own personal health policy was non-existent and still is! Dr. Fauci was his health expert who made him look better! Also rejected was” a federal waiver that gave approval to our state to OK premiums to be charged for our poorest citizens. Especially since the coronavirus pandemic and emergence of omicron variant made this unfair waiver “infeasible.”

Governor Kemp, like former U.S. Senator David Perdue, is a political lightweight who has accomplished so little so far. His recent goals include attacking and weakening quarantine and contact tracing in our schools. By trying to do this he will further alienate our substitute teachers by making their jobs more dangerous to their own health and safety. Too many of his policies are ineffective and impractical. Like suing the Atlanta mayor over her mask mandate. This was ridiculous. If our governor is not re-elected, the former U.S. Senator David Perdue will also be defeated as his public statements that he would issue an executive order to let our parents run our schools would only promote anarchy and chaos! The reason that I know this is that I once was a schoolteacher. God help us, but many of our fellow citizens and voters know that Stacey Adams will be our new governor!
