* Memorial Day Weekend 2026 Honor The Fallen *

Greetings and blessings! Memorial Day 2026 is essentially reserved and dedicated to acknowledge, honor and remember our deserving military fallen heroes who paid the most honorable, courageous, selfless and ultimate sacrifice. So, in many places, honoring wreaths will be laid; and flags will be hung for the fallen. In fact, we honor the fallen by simply saying, “Thank you for your service!” to those presently serving. But to be very honest, I particularly take Memorial Day very personal and seriously with high regards with esteem gratitude to my fellow fallen comrades. I’m a Vietnam Combat Infantryman Veteran who got to come home. However, for those who made the ultimate sacrifice, “You fought a good fight [soldiers], you kept the course … ” (2Timothy 4:7). More so, soldiers literally put their mission before themselves, they fight until death. So, know that “Freedom is not free!” it comes with a heavy price and extremely deadly sacrifice. Again, a necessary reminder of history, in President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, he dedicated a part of the Civil War battlefield at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania saying, “The world can never forget what they [soldiers] did here. ” Further saying, “These dead [soldiers] shall not have died in vain.” Note, in his re-vision of this Address, he profoundly included “Under God.” Amen, we must too, always include God and never, ever leave Him out.
More so and again, I still and perhaps always will get rather emotional and full around this time as I reflect. And too, often wrestling with painful guilt and wonders as to how and why I made it back home from the Vietnam War jungles and rice patties, and regretfully so many didn’t. So fellow Americans, if it’s not asking too much; on this designated Memorial Day weekend and even later, please take a moment of silence with me to reflect, remember and pay tribute to our fallen. And likewise, fervently pray and ask God to bless and strengthen the families who have lost loved ones defending our nation and protecting our freedom and rights. So again and rightly so, let’s forever remember the fallen whose sacrificial lives made a meaningful difference! Also, for those serving now to continue making a difference in keeping us safe and free. Yes! “They stood/or us, let us stand for them. ” “They didn’t forget us, let’s not forget them.” And remember, our soldiers die twice when their names are mentioned no more. Meanwhile, to the Fallen: “We all [me, too] gave some, you [the fallen] gave all [your life].” We salute and graciously thank you and your families too! Unfortunately, we are now in a unnecessary, unjustifiable war of our President’s choosing. Regretfully 6 uninformed soldiers were killed, hundreds injured in the first 24 hours from our Commander-In-Chief reckless mistakes! He started the Iran War and shamefully has no idea how to end it, God Bless America!
