Located in the southeast area of the county, McKee Road connects State Route 315 in the Ellerslie community to the Harris County line, and continues on to Hwy. 80 in Muscogee County. The proposed Timberland 109 LLC development, is located along McKee Road in Harris County, and a proposed data center is also located near the county road but outside Harris County.

During their November 20 meeting the Harris County Commission considered concerns expressed with motorists speeding on McKee Road.
By a unanimous vote, the commissioners approved lowering the speed limit to 35 mph along the entire length of the road in Harris County. In addition, the commissioners approved requesting the state allow the use of radar for speed enforcement on the road.

Leaves from the tree can be used to manufacture a dietary supplement promoted to help with mood swings, relieve pain and increase energy. He noted that while legal in Georgia, it is not legal in some other states. Champion said it is readily available and added it can be an addictive substance with detrimental side effects. He called on the commissioners to contact state officials in banning the substance in the state.
